An Angel Tree(c) Opportunity

Before the year 2006 ended Susan Scott, the Angel Tree Coordinator for PF Qld emailed about the desire of a father, Justin, to give his son, James, a gift of BAT AND BALL. As Christmas is a year-round event for Angel Tree and all of us, I am writing again the request of a father in prison outside the Philippines.

Name of Child: James Libke

Sex: Male

Age: 1 year old

Gift Requested: BAT AND BALL

Carer: Elsie

Relationship of Carer to Child: Mother

Continue to pray for us…

By February 2007, we will re-start STP at the New Bilibid Prison.

When I began to bring STP to this huge prison, I had only one thing in mind; to impact even at least ten percent of its 24,000+ population. Three years ago, we did a GAP dental-medical mission there. I knew that more than physical healing was called for.

I was told it is a very ambitious project. I know. It is God-size for me. That is why I need a lot of prayers to God for this to come about.

People are beginning to notice

NPMP is hardly known. This is the remark I get from people.

True, and we are more than three years old. Before January is over, I should be able to give the NPMP 2006 Ministry Report.

Thanks for all the support and encouragements thrown in our way.

First the website, now the blog

Welcome to the National Prison Ministries Philippines blog!

This blog was set-up to share random thoughts on the NPMP and PFI work that wouldn’t normally go onto the newsletter. There are 2 main contributors to this blog:

  • Mr Rey Taniajura, NPMP Chairman of the Board
  • Ms Tess Uadan, NPMP Executive Director

Readers can also leave comments on the posts, like on the news items on the main NPMP page. Whilst there are no official guidelines in leaving comments, we just request that you conduct proper decorum and respect each other’s opinion. We are also moderating each post so if you leave one, please do not panic when it does not immediately show. We will try to review all comments as promptly as possible.

Lastly, we welcome any other suggestions that you may have in keeping you updated with our work.

God bless!
